It is called:
"Read Like a Star"
The goal for each student is 100 mins. a week.
In 1st grade, this may sound like a lot, but we ask that your child reads 15-20 minutes every night.
You can also count the minutes that you read to your child.
Each student will received a bookmark. Reading minutes are recorded on the bookmark and they are due each Thursday.
Please discuss this great program with your child and the importance of reading. You should be receiving an orange contract note in your child's folder. As well as your child's bookmark to record minutes.
