Leadership Day!

Monday, September 23, 2013 will be Coral Cliffs Elementary Leadership Day!  It is an early out day with school ending at 12:45 pm.  During the day students will be rotating through leadership workshops learning about the 7 Habits.

That evening from 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm our school will be open for Leadership Night!  Students and their families are welcome to come learn about the 7 Habits and have dinner!

On Friday, September 13^th, the 1^st grade will be having Rodeo Day. Your child is encouraged to wear Western Clothing (cowboy hat, bandana, blue jeans & boots) We will also have a rodeo assembly that day. Thursday is kids’ night at the rodeo. The rodeo starts at 8:00pm at the Sunbowl in St. George.

Wear Red, White and Blue

Wednesday Sept. 11^th is Patriot Day. Your child is encouraged to wear red, white and blue. We will be learning about freedom and why we are proud to be Americans.

Registration - August 7th

Welcome Back!

 

The first day of school is just around the corner. We are very excited to meet the parents and students!

Back to School Night will be Tuesday August 13th at 6:00pm. There will be a short presentation from the PTA in the gym, and a short presentation and meet and greet in the classroom.

School will begin Wednesday August 14th at 8:55am. Feel free to walk your child into school this day. Please be sure that your child knows how they are getting home on the first day. It is helpful if you tell their teacher how they are getting home as well.

First Grade Feast

First grade will be having their annual Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday November 20th at 10:30am.  Their teacher has sent home a note asking for donations so this will be a fun and successful experience.  Please look over the list of items needed and do what you can to help out.  If many people do a little bit it will be easier on everyone.  

If you choose to donate items that do not need to be refrigerated you may send them at any time.  If you chose to donate items that DO need to be refrigerated please send them that morning by 9:30am.  In any case, please mark the note and let us know what you can do and return it with your child this next week.  Thank you so much for being great parents and helping us to add extra fun activities to your child's education.

Student Drop Off and Pick Up

In an effort to decrease congestion in the parking lot, we have installed a gate and steps at the Northeast corner of our property. This provides another option for drop off/ pick up. Please do not make a U-turn. Please pull forward and take a left on Tuweap or a right to Snow Canyon Parkway.

Jubilee of Trees

It is time to start decorating our school tree for the Jubilee  of Trees.

This year's theme is

The Wizard of OZ

The 1st grade will go on a field trip to see the Jubilee of Trees. 

 All of the proceeds from our tree come back to our school to purchase health and P.E. materials. We are in need of the following items if you are interested in donating. 

Adult Ruby Slippers
Sequins (red & green)Paint (green, yellow, gold, red, black, silver)
Glitter (green & red)
Plain straight pins
Styrofoam balls (any size)
Clear glass ornaments (round and flat spheres)
Felt (black & brown)

MATH NIGHT!

October 29th at 6:00 to 7:30

Wear your costumes and bring the whole family.

There will be pizza for dinner and math games 

and prizes in the classrooms.

Fall Break

Fall Break is Coming! Next Week will be a short week, we will not be having school on Thursday October 18th and Friday October 19th! Have a fun long weekend!

Spell-a-thon

Our SPELL-A-THON is underway. 
Please support your child with this fundraiser.

     Here are a few tips for collecting pledges:

·      Take your child’s envelope to work with you

·      Ask your neighbors

Please remember that even small donations add up.  Don’t feel like donations have to be big. Thanks for supporting us with our fundraiser. This is how we pay for field trips, coyote cash store and other activities at our school. Envelopes are due on Tuesday Oct. 2^nd.

Apple Day - Tuesday Sept. 25th

Tomorrow we will do doing apple related activities 

and we will learn about Johnny Appleseed.
