Spell-a-thon

Our SPELL-A-THON is underway.
Please support your child with this fundraiser.

Here are a few tips for collecting pledges:

·      Call your Family and Friends

·      Send your Family and Friends an Email

·      Take your child’s envelope to work with you

·      Ask your neighbors

Please remember that even small donations add up.  Don’t feel like donations have to be big. Thanks for supporting us with our fundraiser. This is how we pay for field trips, coyote cash store and other activities at our school. Envelopes are due on Tuesday Oct. 2nd.

Take Home Library Books

Yay! Take Home Library Books came home today. If your child does not have a book, it is because they did not return their permission slip, they owe a $5 fine from a lost or damaged book from last year or they are in reading recovery and have a different book to read.

Please read their book with them EVERY night (M - Th). If your child has the stamina, please have them read it 2-3 times to become fast and smooth (we call this fluency). Please discuss the story after reading. Discuss character, setting, problem, solution etc. Also, retell the story using time order words: first, next, then, last, finally etc.

If your child's books seems way to hard or too easy, please just write your child's teacher know, and they will adjust the level.
