Egg Hunt

Thursday, April 5th we will be having an egg hunt. The egg hunt will take place at 2:00 p.m. We request that each student donates 12 filled plastic eggs for the hunt. Please send these eggs with your student to school that week. Thank you!

The Great Egg Drop!!

We will be having our first grade GREAT EGG DROP Thursday April 5th. We encourage you to help your child on this creative, fun science project. All 1st graders will participate in the Great Egg Drop as their homework that week. Students and parents will need to wrap, package, or secure a raw egg to prevent it from breaking. You will then send the package containing the egg to school on Thursday, April 5th. We will have our school custodian drop all of the Egg Drop packages from the school roof. After all the classes have dropped their eggs, we will unwrap them to see which eggs have survived the fall! In order to get your child’s package up to the roof, please be sure your package is no larger than a large shoebox. Parents are invited to come and see how their egg faired!!

SNAP

Last week we had the great privileged of attending a SNAP assembly teaching us how to safely walk and bike to school! Click HERE to link to the SNAP website where you can find lots of information about the SNAP program!

Baby Chicks

Each 1st grade classroom has an incubator full of eggs. The eggs should hatch just before Easter. If you would like to purchase a chick for $3.00, please contact your child's teacher asap. Chicks will be available on a first come (name down on a list), first serve (as they hatch) basis. We are so excited to have the incubators in our rooms! We would like to thank Mrs. Roberts for helping us with this process!
